Friends N Mimosas embarked on an exciting journey to Philadelphia, eager to interview the gifted Louisiana native, Dalton Primeaux. Known for his spine-chilling horror novels, Dalton has captured the imaginations of readers with his unique storytelling style. Our culinary adventure began at The Green Egg Cafe, a cozy eatery known for its vibrant atmosphere and delicious brunch offerings. As we settled into our seats, we couldn't resist ordering a few signature dishes alongside their famous Apple Cider Mimosas.
The menu was a delightful whistle-stop of flavors, featuring the rich and satisfying Shrimp and Grits, an irresistible Everything But the Kitchen Sink Skillet, and the much-anticipated Bananas Stuffed French Toast. Each dish showcased a perfect blend of local ingredients and culinary creativity, making it difficult to choose a favorite. However, the clear winner at our table was undeniably the Bananas Stuffed French Toast. With its fluffy, pillowy bread overflowing with sweet banana filling and drizzled with maple syrup, it provided a perfect balance of indulgence and comfort—the ideal start to a day of insightful conversation with Dalton about his craft and inspirations. As the mimosas flowed and the laughter filled the air, we were excited to delve into the mind of this talented author and share the experience with our readers.
